Overcoming Fear

Overcoming Fear

What’s stopping you from reaching for those goals? I have come to realize that most of us don’t reach for our goals and dreams because we are scared. We are filled with the spirit of fear. The Bible says, “
Isaiah 41:10 (ASV) Fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness..”
And there’s a bunch of other scriptures that tell us to not fear.

And okay, my favorite one that i had to keep reciting mainly in the beginning of the year, Timothy 1:7 New King James Version (NKJV)
“7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

You see, i have so many different kinds of gifts God has blessed me with, but because of fear, i haven’t been able to accomplish them. I was so scared of what others might say. I was scared of people coming for me. Bringing up my past, but no more. I asked God to remind me of that verse anytime fear started to grip my heart.

I am on this earth to complete a purpose but i won’t be able to complete that purpose if i let the spirit of fear overcome me.

I know that i am not alone when it comes to being scared. And that’s fine. Isn’t it always good to know that you are not alone?
So no matter what you are facing, someone else is most likely going through the same thing. Someone else has actually already overcome it. But remember, “ seek ye first the kingdom of God”. We can not accomplish anything by ourselves. We have to seek God first and the rest follows.

If you are suffering from fear, seek God. Ask Him for deliverance. And once you’ve done that, remember you have a mission to do. Let the Holy Ghost direct. You will be just fine.
He has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind.
You have the power to overcome any and everything. You got this. Keep pushing forward.

Stay Blessed 🙏🏾😘

This is awesome and so timely! Fear can cripple us in numerous ways. Pressing into God and surrendering ourselves is literally the only way we can overcome it.
